The short version.
We collect only the information we need to work with you and run our business — nothing more. We do not sell your personal information. We rely on a few trusted providers (for analytics, email, and payments) to operate, and you can manage cookies at any time through our banner. You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. The full details are below.
We respect your privacy and handle personal information with care and transparency. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected when you visit the Site, create an account, purchase the program, take a quiz, or otherwise interact with us. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Information We Collect
- Contact and account information — name, email address, and account or enrollment details.
- Transaction information — products or services purchased, order details, billing ZIP, and payment status. Payment card details are processed directly by our checkout providers, not stored by us.
- Quiz and form responses — answers and contact details you submit through quizzes and forms we host.
- Usage and device information — IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, pages viewed, and time spent.
- Cookie and tracking information — collected for functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement.
- User-submitted content — feedback, testimonials, and (when the community launches) posts, comments, and profile information you provide.
How Information Is Collected
We collect information when you browse a Site; complete a contact, intake, or quiz form; subscribe to a newsletter or download a resource; purchase a product or service or book a session; respond to surveys or submit feedback; agree to provide a testimonial; or interact with analytics and advertising technologies, subject to your cookie consent choices.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to deliver the program and manage your access, process transactions, communicate with you about your purchase and related updates, deliver quiz results and requested follow-up, personalize and improve the Site, request and publish testimonials with permission, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. Non-essential cookies are not activated until you consent through our cookie banner.Â
- Consent management. We use a consent management tool (cookieadmin.net) to present a cookie banner that lets you accept, decline, or adjust non-essential cookies.
- Analytics. Google Analytics measures site traffic and usage (see Google's Privacy & Terms) (see Jetpack's Privacy Policy).
- We use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) tools to measure campaigns and, where permitted, show relevant ads after you visit the Site. You can manage these through our cookie banner and each platform's ad settings.
Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted providers that process information on our behalf to operate the business. We do not store payment card details; those are handled directly by our checkout providers under their own terms and PCI-DSS standards.
- Payments — Purchases are handled by third-party providers and not stored by us: Gumroad and/or Stripe. These providers handle payment information under their own terms and PCI-DSS standards.
- Forms and quizzes — Tally (tally.so) hosts our quizzes and forms; responses may include your name, email, and answers, used to deliver results and, where you've opted in, to follow up.
- Email — We use Kit.com and loops.so to manage newsletters and marketing email; unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
- Hosting, caching, and content delivery — This site uses caching for faster response times; cache files are temporary and accessed by third parties only as needed for technical support from the cache plugin vendor. We may use QUIC.cloud to process and cache data temporarily (see quic.cloud/privacy-policy).
These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Selling and Sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising tools may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain state privacy laws; you can opt out of non-essential advertising and analytics cookies at any time using our cookie banner.
How We Share, Retain, and Secure Information
We share personal information only with trusted providers that help us operate, when required by law, in connection with a business transfer (with notice), or with your consent. We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here and to meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, though no method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure. North Carolina law requires notice to affected residents (and in some cases the Attorney General's Office) following certain security breaches.
Your Choices and Rights
You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any email. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and identity verification, by contacting support (at) yolandabrownmba (dot) com. California residents may also exercise applicable rights using that contact and the cookie banner for advertising/analytics opt-outs.
If you would like to block online tracking and other invasions of your privacy, many user-friendly tools are available in your browser.
